A multimillion-dollar master planned urban village on one of the last remaining development sites in Griffin just north of Brisbane is set to launch within months.
Held by family-owned developers Wattle Run for more than 20 years, the project to be known as Freshwater Hub is located 22km north of the Brisbane CBD and 1.5km from North Lakes.
Freshwater Hub is expected to transform Griffin, combining the rustic charm of an urban farm and parkland, boutique retail as well as amenities and 126 residential lots being developed by
Marquee Development Partners.
The project will comprise Freshwater Village, a 2.59ha retail, dining and entertainment precinct, including a Woolworths, restaurants, cafes, microbrewery, fitness centre, indoor sports club and
health services operations. The 1ha urban Freshwater Farm will provide residents with fresh produce while Freshwater Park will include 1.1ha of parklands with a playground, kick-and-play area, as well as open green space.
Designed with families in mind, the residential community to be known as Freshwater Place will offer 126 freehold homesites, ranging in size up to 609sq m.
Marquee Development Partners, one of Southeast Queensland’s premier developers, who have developed more than 3000 residences will subdivide the site offering a range of house and land
packages with both single and double storey designs. Freshwater Place is expected to be extremely popular with young families, second homeowners, and downsizers.
“Griffin is also in desperate need of new housing with no new land currently available for sale and the tightest rental vacancy on record, so we’re pleased to be able to provide quality new homes
to help address this critical supply shortage,” said Marquee Developments sales manager Azura Griffen said.
Freshwater Place will launch to the public in the coming months, with civil construction planned to commence later this year, followed by the commencement of the Woolworths and Freshwater
Village retail and entertainment precinct. Prices for the housing sites are yet to be revealed.
