As a Gold Coast local, James was looking for the perfect brand-new apartment that was close to his family & work. The Catalina ticked all of his boxes from location to layout.
With a particular layout in mind & after looking at multiple new apartment developments from north to south, James was drawn to The Catalina by its spacious floor plan and great value.
“I just love the floor plan. One thing I didn’t want was to have the bedrooms next to each other, if I have guests I want the privacy of having my own space.”
“There is a lot of natural light, my apartment is on the corner so I get really great views. I wanted to be able to see sunsets over the buildings, the outlook was very important to me.”
Being quite familiar with Chevron Island, although having never lived in the area before, James was excited to be surrounded by so much amenity and live walking distance to the beach.
“Being on Chevron Island means convenience, I love being able to go out to dinner or over to the HOTA precinct. I do my groceries every Sunday morning at the local markets, it’s all organic food and so amazing having the convenience and the close proximity to beach. When I look at all the facilities The Catalina has, I feel as though the beach is one of those facilities because it is so close and I love that I can walk there”.
James admits that when looking to purchase an apartment he wasn’t concerned with having a pool or gym within the building, but since living at The Catalina he has found he uses the pool, sauna & gym regularly.
“My favourite amenity that I’ve enjoyed since moving in has probably been the pool & sauna. It has been nice to go down to relax after the gym and jump in the pool.”
James was the first resident to use the exclusive Treatment Room at The Catalina, this room is set up with a professional massage table where residents can have private appointments with a physio or masseuse without having to leave the building.
Having researched number new apartments on the Gold Coast, James knew of Marquee and was aware of their first Chevron Island development, Stanhill Residences, and was happy to be able to hear first hand the experience of other residents in the area.
“I went down the road and asked the residents about what the quality of the build, they all said that it was high quality & they’ve had no problems at all. That’s really what you want to hear when you’re buying from a Developer – it was a really big drawcard for me and having that first hand feedback from other residents was really vital in my decision making.”
“Working with marquee has been amazing, if I have ever had a question on social media, I can just send them a message and I’ll get correspondence back. The monthly updates that were sent as the building was being built quite cool as well seeing it all come alive.”
