Marquee Development Partners’ sales manager Azura Griffen said the project had reached a total of $126 million in sales. The last three months has been particularly active, with an average sale price of $5.79 million per apartment achieved, equating to more than $20,000 per square metre of luxury apartment space.
“Top end demand for the southern Gold Coast continues to go from strength to strength as evidenced by the overwhelming response to Monterey Kirra Beach with interest coming from a mixture of Brisbane and interstate buyers looking for a weekend or holiday home,” Mrs Griffen said.
The last three sales achieved were $6.09m for a 277sqm apartment, $5.79m for a 267sqm apartment and $5.49m for a 267sqm apartment, to Sydney and Brisbane buyers.
“We had been working with several buyers from the start of the year that have all decided to commit in March citing more certainty around the economic climate and limited supply of new beachfront apartments on the Gold Coast.
“The iconic relaxed beachside lifestyle, in combination with record population growth, a shortage of rental accommodation, limited new housing supply, and a wave of major new infrastructure, will continue to drive demand for the southern Gold Coast,’’ she said.
Monterey is Marquee’s 10th prestigious development on the Gold Coast. It will rise 14 levels above Kirra Beach at 4-6 Musgrave Street, offering a collection of north-facing, oversized three, four and five-bedroom luxury residences.
An ultra-wide frontage ensures all kitchens, master bedrooms and living spaces have been designed to face the beach – a rarity on the Southern Gold Coast beachfront.
Residents will enjoy luxury resort style amenity including heated pool, feature poolside cabana, outdoor spa, European sauna, ocean-view gym, yoga lawn, surfboard wash station, business suite, private bar, and billiard lounge.
Marquee is behind several cranes across the Gold Coast skyline, including Monterey and SOL in Kirra Beach, One Cannes and Shoreline Residences in Surfers Paradise – all of which are sold out and under construction.
This month Marquee also announced it had acquired one of the largest remaining absolute beachfront development sites on the Gold Coast.
Located at 1293 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, the 3,304sqm property faces perfectly north-east with over 40m of direct beach frontage. The site will become Marquee’s 11th Gold Coast apartment project to be developed in the last eight years.
