The nine level building will be built on a prime 1,639sqm site on the corner of Stanhill Drive and Weemala Street, and offer panoramic views of the waterways and Surfers Paradise skyline.
Marquee Development Partners’ CEO Mark Spedding says initial buyer demand has exceeded expectations.
“We built an eight level viewing platform on site so prospective buyers could witness the spectacular vistas on offer, and this has resulted in a number of reservations taken,” he said.
“Feedback from those who have inspected the site and our development plans has been extremely positive, with significant value for money, high quality design and the lifestyle on offer cited as the top reasons for choosing Stanhill Chevron Island.
“We have partnered with the award-winning BDA Architects to ensure the design of Stanhill is commensurate with its location, complete with a resort-style rooftop space including a large spa, gym, barbeque terrace and private dining room, where residents can relax and watch the sun set over the river and mountains.
“This is complemented by another pool at ground level providing an additional private recreation space.
“We have engaged renowned builder Rawcorp to commence construction this December, so buyers at Stanhill can have confidence the project is moving ahead, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2020.”
Mr Spedding says early interest in the project has stemmed from a mix of local owner occupiers and investors, looking to leverage Chevron Island’s transformation in to the city’s cultural heartland.
“Chevron Island is undergoing a renaissance through urban gentrification, led by the ongoing development of the Home of the Arts (HOTA), which will soon boast a new $60 million art gallery as part of a planned $380 million cultural precinct” he said.
“With early works underway to establish a green pedestrian and cycle bridge linking Chevron Island to HOTA, residents will soon be less than a five-minute walk from the best music, art and entertainment the city has to offer.
“The island is already home to a vibrant dining and retail precinct along Thomas Drive, which connects the Surfers Paradise beachfront to Bundall and the Southport CBD, so residents are within easy reach of both the city and ocean.
“Easy access to the G:Link light rail connecting residents from Broadbeach through to the Health and Knowledge Precinct in Parkwood and on to Brisbane has also been a big driver for purchasers in Stanhill.”
Stanhill comprises a mix of spacious two and three bedroom apartments, priced from $499,000 to $799,000.
Stanhill Chevron Island is Marquee Development Partners’ second Gold Coast project, following the success of its Peninsular Residences tower in Surfers Paradise, which is already sold-out and under construction
Marquee Development Partners have also successfully delivered the award-winning luxury Haven Newstead and Fleet Lane South Brisbane apartment towers.
