Located at 1293 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, the 3,304sqm property faces perfectly north-east with over 40 meters of direct beach frontage. The site will become Marquee’s 11th Gold Coast apartment project to be developed in the last eight years, highlighting strong property demand for the Southern Gold Coast.
The property was formerly partially owned by world motorcycle racing champion Mick Doohan and more recently wholly owned by Gold Coast business magnate, the late Joe Calabro, an Australian bus industry icon, and his wife Roma.
“This is a unique property and we are looking forward to respecting the legacy of the Calabro family with our team of experts crafting a collection of luxury coastal residences with world-class amenity at the site. We are aiming to deliver the most premium, new absolute beachfront development on the Gold Coast,” said Jacques Winterburn, Marquee Director.
“This was a rare opportunity to purchase such a large absolute beachfront site on the Gold Coast where residents can walk straight onto the sand without crossing a road or pedestrian pathway. It is also located next to a community surf lifesaving club, offering a year-round patrolled beach directly out the front of the luxury apartments,” Mr Winterburn said.
The project is due to be released to the market in April 2024. Multi award winning developer Marquee is also completing four other luxury apartment buildings on the Gold Coast in the first half of 2024, setting up for the next wave of projects to be launched soon.
“We continue to receive strong demand from buyers desiring premium owner occupier beachfront apartments either as downsizers or people seeking a second home,’’ said Azure Griffen, Sales and Marketing Director at Marquee.
“Because we have built a significant track record of recent projects on the Gold Coast, the buyers have confidence in purchasing off the plan from our business, knowing that while it is a challenging construction market, we always deliver for them,’’ Mrs Griffen said.
“As a business we have been searching for the next opportunity and this new site at Palm Beach will allow us to deliver something very special.”
Mrs Griffen said extremely high levels of enquiry were being received for the Palm Beach project despite it not yet being officially launched to the market.
“Many locals have been waiting for it to come to be available due to the size of the land and location, which will result in enhanced views, privacy and natural light for the future residents,’’ she said.
