Brisbane’s top 70 most liveable suburbs have been revealed, featuring a mixed bag of trendy inner-city neighbourhoods, traditional family-friendly pockets, and outlying growth suburbs.
The list, compiled exclusively for News Corp by PRD Real Estate, ranks liveability based on affordability, rental yields, crime rate, access to amenities, as well as future development and infrastructure projects.
The list has been divided into two housing categories — units and houses, with some suburbs making the cut in both categories.
No.1 Griffin
Two decades ago, this pocket on the water north of Brisbane was nothing more than a smattering of older houses. Now young families and first-home buyers call it home, with new infrastructure emerging and a liveable and affordable lifestyle. A new shopping centre is being built in the suburb, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane’s CBD are easily accessible, the Gateway Motorway is on your doorstep, and North Lakes Westfield Shopping Centre is just down the road. The median house price is an affordable $682,750.
